Belt for my 02 73 with the single alt and I noticed that the part number calls for the 73 with no cold weather package as mine has the block heater and such. Many fail to take these vagaries in consideration when they judge what should and shouldnt happen in cold weather performance. While im doubtful trucks without the cold weather package didnt have the block heater and AIH I did confirm the non cold weather belt was longer than my cold weather package belt and i tried it but it started slipping. According to ford the cold weather package is the from the factory block heater AIH different EBPV temp activation programming and a SLIGHTLY shorter serpentine belt. I plug in the block heater for over 3 hours and then it will start but then it wont start after being parked for a while despite the warmer temperatures outside. How cold can it get before it wont start.
